PRAY FOR AMERICA

Fires are burning across the globe. Ignited by film, fear, political tensions or hatred, only the power of Jesus can extinguish the flames, watered by peace and the power of God's Love. We are honored to come alongside courageous Teen Challenge workers who labor anonymously in sensitive nations at grave personal risk. We have prayed with staff, huddled in lockdown as the violent protesters surround the walls of Teen Challenge.

After prayer, advice from the State Department, and GTC...
TC Staff in country requested that we postpone our trip for the safety of the students, staff, and properties. Please pray for their continued safety. In the face of incredible opposition faithful TC staff in continue to engage the needs of men and women trapped by addiction, suffering with HIV or victims of human trafficking. We are honored, with your help, to pray for and serve these sacrificial servants to train, encourage, and equip them for their critical mission.

AMerica for Jesus

Teen Challenge students from 12 states collectively set free from 1,200 years of addiction, joined us to minister to the tens of thousands who gathered on Independence Mall in Philadelphia to sing and intercede for America on Saturday September 29.

Thank you to my sons, daughter-in-law and all of the Teen Challenge centers who traveled so far and sacrificed to be part of this National Solemn Assembly. Special thanks to Pastor George Valco and Calvary Temple of Phila. who hosted the choirs and provided wonderful hospitality in South Philadelphia.

Exactly 40 days before the national election, Christians gathered, representing all races, parties & denominations from across the United States, to pray for the healing of our nation and call America back to God.

In 1607, the first English settlers knelt in prayer around the cross, dedicating this new nation to the Lord. America will never change through politics. Only through a mighty outpouring of God's Holy Spirit. To-date, the five national and numerous regional rallies attended by several hundred thousand people had an impact affecting millions across the country and the national movement continues to call for a return to biblical values. Steve & Jerri STEVE HILL

Thanks so much for remembering Steve Hill in your prayers. He is scheduled for surgery to remove a tumor from his spine the week of Oct 22.
Please pray the surgery goes well and for a speedy, complete recovery. He is standing fast on God's promise, by Christ's stripes he is healed. Steve has asked the Lord to let him live that he can win another million souls to Jesus. Between treatments and health issues, he continues to lift his voice, minister to people and see the Gospel go forth!

.8But now for a brief moment grace has been shown from the LORD our God, to leave us an escaped remnant and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and grant us a little reviving in our bondage.
9 For we were slaves; in our bondage our God has not forsaken us, but extended lovingkindness to us, to give us reviving to raise up the house of our God, to restore its ruins and to give us a wall ... EZRA 9:1-9

God has given us a peg in His holy place. It is not a geographic handle, but a place in the Spirit that we need to take hold of again. There is nothing I can add to this scripture that God gave to me to read as we ministered at America for Jesus at Independence Hall. The liberty bell once rang to sound freedom. At America for Jesus they rang the bell, sounded the shofar, and we cried out to the Lord. Our only hope is that God grant mercy that we do not deserve except for the gift of his son Jesus Christ.

1) SIBERIA, Removed sensitive confidentiality

Great praise report from SIBERIA- 10 days ago we asked you to pray.

Dear Prayer Partners,

We have an urgent request for prayer. As you probably remember some time ago we had a victory in court. The local prosecutor tried to close the Source of Life (Teen Challenge Siberia) by initiating several law suits. There were approximately 20 cases with the fire dept., sanitation dept., the prosecutor's office and city administration of Kultan (where the TC program is located.) We won every court case; however, the prosecutor did not stop. Last week our lawyer was informed that a decision was made to start a criminal case against me for starting an extremist religious organization. T

2) PRAISE REPORT: Nigeria has received their government approval to open. Special congratulations to director David Omih who is getting married.

3) HOPE AND DESTINY HAITI is in 2 short weeks. As you are praying for Haiti, please consider the history and roots of spiritual bondage that this nation is shaking off in these days of revival as they move forward in their supernatural destiny.

Pastor Nadarkhani's Letter of thanks

Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, recently released from an Iranian prison, has written a letter of thanks to all those who brought attention to his plight and prayed for his release. As you know, he was imprisoned and charged with apostasy, a crime punishable by death in Iran. Please continue to pray for Youcef and his family. They still face danger from militant Muslims and/or government agents who may want to kill them because of Youcef's evangelistic efforts.

Here's Pastor Youcef's letter

Not to us, LORD, not to us, but to Your Name be glory, for Your faithfulness, for Your loyalty… Psalm 115:1

Salaam ! (Peace be upon you !)

I glorify and give grace to the Lord with all my heart. I am grateful for all the blessings that He gave me. I am especially grateful for His goodness and divine protection that characterized the time of my detention.

I also want to express my gratitude towards those who, all around the world, have worked for my cause, or should I say the cause that I defend. I want to express my gratitude to all of those who have supported me, openly or in complete secrecy. You are all very dear to my heart. May the Lord bless you and give you His perfect and sovereign Grace.

Indeed I have been put to the test, the test of faith which is, according to the Scriptures "more precious than perishable gold. But I have never felt loneliness, I was all the time aware of the fact that it wasn't a solitary battle, for I have felt all the energy and support of those who obeyed their conscience and fought for the promotion of the justice and the rights of all human beings. Thanks to these efforts, I have now the enormous joy to be by my wonderful wife and my children. I am grateful for these people through whom God has been working. All of this is very encouraging.

During that period, I had the opportunity to experience in a marvelous way the Scripture that says: Indeed, as the sufferings of Christ abound for us, our encouragement abound through Christ. He has comforted my family and has given them the means to face that difficult situation. In His Grace, He provided for their spiritual and material needs, taking away from me a heavy weight.

The Lord has wonderfully provided through the trial, allowing me to face the challenges that were in front of me. As the Scriptures says, "He will not allow us to be tested beyond our strength. Despite the fact that I have been found guilty of apostasy according to a certain reading of the Sharia, I am grateful that He gave the leaders of the country, the wisdom to break that judgment taking into account other facts of that same Sharia. It is obvious that the defenders of the Iranian right and the legal experts have made an important effort to enforce the law and the right. I want to thank those who have defended the right until the end. May the grace and mercy of God be multiplied to you. Amen!

Yousef Nadarkhani

Please continue to pray for Poland Teen Challenge and the family of Richard Paciocha. This wonderful servant of God went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 13. His place in heaven is secure, his place in our hearts is certain, but he will truly be missed. He leaves a wife and 3 small children, two daughters Hanna, Katarzyna and a son Stanislaw. He has been a pioneer for the coffee house ministry in Poland. What began in his heart grew to over 30 coffeehouses across Poland in Eastern Europe. He was also helping start houses in Ukraine and Lithuania.
Richard

We spent some quality time with him in Poland just a few months ago and he communicated his vision. Cathy and I were both impressed by his vision, faith and love for the lost. Today the empty place in Teen Challenge his departing leaves seems impossible to fill up, but God is faithful. Please pray for faithful workers to stand in the gap and fill the hole that his passing has left us.

6) Report from Burkina Faso:

Thank you so much for your prayers.
I had a wonderful time at the Teen-Challenge both in Long Island and Brooklyn, it was a real encouragement. I made it back home to my family safe and last week we drilled the well in the ministry center, and we got very good water there.

Once again thank you so much. The ministry with us going well because the team really did well when I was a way. God willing, we will be have at least 3 residence so that we can start a full program with them. We need your prayers.
John Tandamba

7) Please send us your prayer requests and praise reports as we continue to stand with our partners worldwide: write to prayer@bgillott.org

9) Pray for workers for the Harvest!
Teen Challenge Centers in 95 countries need staff and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in 30 nations. They are crying out for help. Some governments they think they need help with their drug problem, but only the power of God can heal the more pressing social need... we know addiction has a SPIRITUAL ROOT. We offer SPIRITUAL RESOURCES to meet the need.

MATTHEW 9: 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
