AUSTRALIA for GTC ASIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE
Asia Pacific Regional Directors, Jim & Kathie continue to serve the needs of Asia Pacific.

TEEN CHALLENGE celebrates 65 years in 2023 with over 1,400 Centers in 132 Nations.
GOD IS STILL
AT WORK!

Hosted by Graham Ross and the leaders of TC Southern Australia in Adelaide, and led by Jim & Kathie Lowans, Asia-Pacific Regional Directors, we will have strategic TC leaders from 14 Asia-Pacific nations. Leaders from Indonesia, Fiji, Myanmar, Laos, Samoa, Japan, Philippines and Singapore to mention a few. There are open doors in new nations-sensitive nations that are opening for the Good News. Courageous leaders are stepping up, though we cannot list their names for their safety. We do appreciate your prayers for a powerful time of ministry. We are so grateful to Tanya Cavanaugh from TC Tasmania who served so many administrative functions for this gathering.

ADDICTION IN ASIA PACIFIC

Tracking substantive data for Asia-Pacific Region with the United Nations Office of Drug Control Policy (UNODCP) is challenging, not only because of reporting issues from the nations but also because they recognize parts of our GTC Asia-Pacific region as OCEANA. From glue sniffing to cannabis to to opiods ... and now the escalating use of fentanyl, Asia-Pacific is an emerging battlefield in the war against drugs and human trafficking.

In Cambodia, they call them "silly boys." We have seen them on the street. Sniffing glue, hallucinating or laying unconscious in the street, people step over them & accept it. I asked a pastor what they do about it, and he said,"Not my children not my problem.

"I'm so glad that we are all God's children and that He made our problem HIS problem.

HE took our sins, they were nailed to the cross at Calvary. Now, at Teen Challenge Cambodia "silly boys" become "mighty men" ... of God!

A 38-country legal and policy analysis by UNAIDS and UNDP found that 14 countries in the region have corporal or capital punishment penalties for the use or possession of drugs. Some condone extra judicial killings for drug offenses. Combine that with the fact that in 2022 an estimated 12% of new HIV infections in Asia Pacific were among people who inject drugs.

Maako, TC Okinawa: BEFORE & AFTER

Teen Challenge is unique in this region offering Christ-centered residential ministry and care with a total cure for the whole man. A cure built on the power of God in the fullness of the Holy Spirit, empowered by God's Word. As we speak to leaders in these nations they are often shocked to learn that we do not "beat the students," but minister to them through prayer, the prophetic, and the Word. Through 65 years of ministry we've learned that fear is not adequate motivation to bring an addict to freedom. It is the hope that they find in Jesus Christ. Living in Christ-centered community, miracles continue to happen.
Thank you for being a part of this miracle with us.

Used water bottles, are fabricated into water pipes to smoke amphetamine… called YAMAH He explained I can either use money for bread and be hungry in the afternoon Lou will take the pain away In back alleys as we shared the gospel, addicts were lined up in the filth injecting heroin

From beautiful homes in Australia, to schools across Singapore to
back alleys and ghettos the power of God is at work.
In the face of this impossibility and despair,
in shame – based cultures that reject them and brand
them as hopeless- the Jesus is setting addicts free.
TC IS PUTTING HOPE WITHIN REACH OF EVERY ADDICTI

The cost of our flights is more than double our last trip to Australia & we are having to replace Bernie's laptop, your prayerful consideration of a gift this month is very strategic. Help us to open new doors to freedom through Jesus Christ.

ALL in ALL

Hahn's STORY

Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do,
do it all for the glory of God

I Corinthians 11:31

Many think that Christianity is determined by our devotion in church, our prayer life, or how much we read the Bible. Religion measures a set of tasks and duties which are our responsibility. Christianity is different. It is a vibrant relationship with God, where living is not so much my responsibility, as my response to HIS ability ... at work within me.

It is a relationship that infuses every aspect of my life and nature. Our lives are supernatural. God adding his super, to our natural.

The most seemingly insignificant aspects of our life are agents for HIS glory!

The most seemingly insignificant parts of our life can actually become agents for HIS glory. In the book of Mark 11:12-25, as Jesus walks by an unfruitful fig tree, He declares, “May no one ever eat food from you again."

Verse 14 says “And the disciples were listening.” A seemingly insignificant moment suddenly becomes an inflection point of faith for the disciples when they see the tree has withered overnight, they question HIM and HE answers,

22 "Have faith in God,", Jesus answered… 24 therefore I tell you whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you received it, and it will be yours

In our lives people are listening, people are watching, so every moment is an opportunity for His glory. Satan likes to say to us, “Today doesn’t really matter, maybe some other days, but today --just let it slide.”

Miracles happen when opportunity meets impossibility and glory touches clay. His hope at work in my humanity means today can be redeemed as an inflection point for my faith or anyone watching. Let HIM add HIS Super to your natural. That happens when we are willing to sacrifice what is not in our nature to receive HIS nature.

What opportunities will you have today?
What opportunities have I sacrificed, thinking "this moment doesn’t matter," or that I am insignificant?

We get trapped in,
“Well, maybe someday …
It’s just a matter of...
if I just had… I could.&
Today is a day for HIS glory. Let’s live like we are serving an unstoppable force because we do serve an unstoppable GOD who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we can ask or think according to HIS power at work within us. Eph 3:20

Hahn was sold into slavery by human traffickers at the age of nine, raped, beaten, and lost. Then, just when It seemed as though her nightmare would never end, God intervened.

Again I say
unto you,
That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done
for them of

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we can ask or think according to the power that works within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Jesus Christ to all generations forever and ever. AMEN
Ephesians 3:20-21
